Frequently Asked Questions

How often should my pool be professionally serviced?

Most of our customers have their pool professionally serviced every 4 weeks, which is ideal for keeping your pool clean, your equipment operating efficiently, and identifying any issues before they become costly repairs.

Between services, we recommend testing your pool water weekly (or at least fortnightly), especially during summer when warmer weather and increased pool use can affect water balance more quickly.

It's also important to empty your skimmer basket regularly and clean your filter whenever it's under extra load or your pool has collected more dirt and debris than usual.

Do I need a regular pool service if my pool looks clean?

Just because your pool looks clean doesn't always mean it's properly balanced. Regular servicing helps maintain healthy water chemistry, keeps your equipment running efficiently, and can identify small issues before they become costly repairs.

Can you service my pool if I usually maintain it myself?

Of course. Whether you need occasional servicing, an equipment inspection, or help solving a problem, we're happy to help.

Do I need to be home during my pool service?

No. As long as we have safe and clear access to your pool and equipment, you don't need to be home. We'll complete the service and leave your pool clean and ready to enjoy. Once we're finished, we'll email you a service report outlining the work completed, along with any issues we've identified or recommendations we may have.

What happens if you find a problem during my service?

If we identify an issue with your pool or equipment, we'll let you know. After every service, we'll email you a service report explaining what we've found, along with honest recommendations and pricing for any repairs or replacements. We'll always discuss your options and get your approval before carrying out any additional work.

Are chemicals included in my service?

Pool chemicals are not included in the service price. During each visit, we'll test and analyse your pool water and only add the chemicals needed to keep it balanced. Any chemicals used are charged separately, so you only pay for what your pool requires.

What do I need to do before you arrive?

Not much! We simply ask that you leave enough water in the pool for us to complete the service, provide safe and clear access to your pool and equipment, and secure any pets while we're working.

What if my pool is green or heavily dirty?

If your pool has gone green or is heavily contaminated, it will likely require a Green Pool Recovery service as opposed to a regular pool maintenance visit. You can learn more about our Green Pool Recovery service to see what's involved and how we can help get your pool back to a healthy, swimmable condition.
