What's your shade of green?

When a pool becomes too dirty or algae has taken hold, a standard maintenance service is no longer suitable. Our Green Pool Recovery service is specifically designed to restore heavily contaminated pools before they can return to regular maintenance.

  • Cloudy or dull water

Your pool has lost its sparkle and may be starting to develop algae or poor water balance.

  • Cloudy water with visible algae

Early algae growth is taking hold and your pool needs more than routine maintenance.

  • Green, murky or swamp-like water

Heavy algae growth requires a dedicated Green Pool Recovery to safely restore your pool.

Why pools go green

Low Chlorine

Low Chlorine

Chlorine is your pool's primary defence against algae. When chlorine levels drop too low, algae can quickly begin to grow, turning your water cloudy or green.
Ineffective equipment

Ineffective equipment

Faulty pumps, filters or chlorinators prevent proper circulation and sanitisation, compromising water quality.
Poor filtration

Poor filtration

A dirty or undersized filter can't effectively remove contaminants, leaving your water cloudy and unhealthy.
Chemical imbalance

Chemical imbalance

Incorrect pH or water balance reduces your sanitiser's effectiveness, making it difficult to maintain clear, healthy water.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does recovery take?

Most green pools are restored in 2–4 visits, depending on how severe the algae is and how well your filtration system is performing.

When will my pool be safe to swim in again?

This depends on the treatment required to recover your pool. Your technician will let you know exactly when it's safe to swim, but in some cases it can take up to 7 days before the water is ready.

Why did my pool turn green?

Chlorine is your pool's primary defense against algae. Algae grows when chlorine levels become too low, which may be a result of poor water balance, inadequate filtration, hot weather, or equipment issues. We'll assess all aspects to try determine the cause so you can help prevent it from happening again.

Do I need to drain my pool to recover it?

Not usually. Most green pools can be restored without draining. With the right combination of chemicals, filtration and cleaning, we can usually restore your pool to crystal-clear water without wasting thousands of litres of water.
